YOU JUST HAVE TO DO IT!

We all know that at some point, you have to start somewhere to make ‘it’ happen. Rather like ripping off a plaster, you always feel better when it’s done. Taking the first step can often be the scariest, but this only needs to be done once and can even be fun, then the second, third, and so on seem so much easier as you start to enjoy the feeling of achievement. I’ve spent, what feels like an absolute eternity creating The Mastery Venture – procrastination can last a long time if you let it! If I’d kept going the way I have been I’d never get anywhere, everything would still be in draft and my wish to help people to help themselves the way I have would be nothing more than a dream. I could have continued striving for perfection, a little more of this and a tweak to that, etc., but I needed to take the leap and just put it out there. Being overly fancy and complex won’t enable me to progress or support anyone, but by keeping my ideas simple and actioning plans in small manageable steps I’ll gain much more headway. Now I’ve taken my first step and released The Mastery Venture out into the big wide world, every subsequent move from this point forward will feel more comfortable. As I move steadily towards my goal, I fully intend to enjoy the journey, which I see as more of an adventure as I wait to see where it takes me and how it evolves over time. I still have heaps more to add to get the business where I want it to be, but I’m going to grow this over time. It’s a new project and as with most new projects, there will be changes and adaptations along the way, so an open minded approach is vital. We learn from our experiences and must be prepared to rework anything that doesn’t go to plan, overcome obstacles that get in the way, and take note from setbacks, using everything we go through as a learning experience. Remember, every day’s a school day! Making progress, no matter how little, is the key to gaining and maintaining momentum. Once you are on your way, in the right direction, you will feel so much happier and motivation will drive you forward. If I can make my dream a reality, you can too.

MY CHRONIC ILLNESS FORCED ME TO CHANGE MY CAREER

How did I end up here? Well, there’s a question! When I started the whole entrepreneurship journey my original path was to be working with dogs and their owners supporting them to build fantastic bonds and assist with training issues. However, as time progressed my health started to deteriorate and I couldn’t actually pursue or commit to making the job what I wanted it to be. Some years ago, I qualified as a Life Coach and NLP Practitioner as I’ve always known I wanted to help people in one way or another. So, after much deliberation and cogitation, I came up with a new plan that would allow me to follow my dreams, but in a different way and at a comprise that wouldn’t impact my wellbeing. This is when The Mastery Venture was born. A project that will gradually develop with its members for its members and I can use my qualifications along with my personal experiences to guide those in similar situations to the ones that I’ve come through. I have lots of plans for where I want to take the Venture, but with my own health limitations, it’s very much a case of one step at a time. I’m having to adapt to living with a new me, which is pretty damn hard for someone so stubborn, but doable if I have to! Reaching my goal is at the forefront of my mind and just because I’ve now got to follow a different path doesn’t mean that it’s not going to happen. You too can get to where you want to be in life. Unfortunately, ill health, whether physical and/or mental, doesn’t come with a ‘how to’ manual and when reality sinks in it can be scary. But it’s important to remember that you will always have options that allow you to choose if or how to progress and navigate your way forward.  By concentrating on what you can do and want to achieve within limiting parameters will enable you to embark on a courageous journey with focus and determination.  When open to alternatives and compromise you will be surprised at how much you can accomplish. Stick with me I get it!
