The Data Controller

As the Data Controller The Mastery Venture will retain your personal data in strict confidence.  We are the Data Controller if we hold data collected directly from you or passed to us via a third party nominated by you, in order to provide a service being requested/used by you.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

The Mastery Venture will retain personal data for as long as deemed necessary if a Lawful basis for Processing Personal Data is applicable.

How we protect your data

Our website is protected using security software which is fully GDPR compliant.

All computerised personal data and associated data is held securely on a pass worded laptop, that is locked away in a secure cabinet when not in use.

Any hard copies of documents containing personal data are locked away in a secure cabinet when not in use.

Business and organisation data will be stored confidentially, as per personal data and in accordance with the ICO requirements.

Destruction of personal data

If we are instructed to dispose of any personal or associated data this is done using a shredder for paper copies and permanent deletion for computerised records.

What data breach procedures we have in place

The Mastery Venture is registered with the ICO (reference number ZA475717) and adhere to their strict regulations.

If a breach in data protection occurs strict ICO rules are followed.
